RoofIt recently returned to one of our previous installations in Ladysbridge, Co. Cork, where we had installed a bespoke aluminium veranda late last year.
The original project involved the supply and installation of a Simplicity 6 aluminium framed glazed veranda, measuring approximately 5.65m × 2.83m. Finished in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), the veranda was designed to complement the contemporary exterior of the home while creating a practical covered area overlooking the garden.
A Bright, Sheltered Outdoor Space
The veranda features clear 6mm toughened safety glass roof glazing, allowing plenty of natural light into the area while providing permanent overhead shelter.
With its slim aluminium framework and glazed roof, the design creates a natural extension of the home without making the patio feel enclosed or disconnected from the garden.
Upgraded with Solid Side Infill
This year, RoofIt returned to the property to further enhance the original installation by adding solid infill panels to the sides of the veranda.
The anthracite grey panels integrate neatly with the existing aluminium structure and provide additional shelter and privacy while retaining the bright, open feel created by the glazed roof.
One of the advantages of a bespoke veranda system is the ability to adapt the space as requirements change. In this case, the original open-sided veranda could be upgraded to create a more sheltered outdoor area without replacing the existing structure.
Designed for the Home
Every RoofIt veranda is designed around the individual property and available space. For this project, the Anthracite Grey aluminium framework, clear glass roof and matching solid infill panels work particularly well with the home’s grey exterior and surrounding garden.
The finished result is a clean, contemporary outdoor space that can be enjoyed in a much wider range of weather conditions.
